My goodness as we walked through the door for the first time the smiles never ended. The atmosphere, the servers,the food and those fried pickles! Amanda was wonderful as well as the other wonderful ladies. The chef spot on and to boot we had wonderful acoustic entertainment. Tha whole experience was absolutely perfect so much so my son, grandson and myself are making it our go to place thank you so very much.

Cozy little Irish Pub. Large menu, so many things that looked good to choose from. Went at 10:30 on a Sunday, so they even have a brunch menu from 10am to 2pm, including cocktail specials. Service was great - prompt, amiable, and efficient. Food was good, we had the short ribs hash, churro pancakes, frittata, and vegetarian spring rolls. Great option if you are in the area.

McCarthy's is an absolute gem of an Irish restaurant, and their fish and chips made from haddock are simply outstanding! From the moment I stepped inside, the warm and inviting atmosphere immediately made me feel at home.

The haddock was perfectly cooked to perfection, with a light and crispy batter that added just the right amount of crunch.

Relax and have a pint of Stout and enjoy your time at McCarthy's.

Really great menu and tasting food with late night options. The fish and chips were really well seasoned and the piece of haddock literally weighted a pound. The accompaniments were also flavorful and well prepared. The staff was friendly and the Guinness pour was proper. I ended up going back a second time and had the a pizza which was also really good. The first time I went was a Friday night which was kinda loud but would definitely go back.

I had an issue during a previous visit and the owner reached out to me and went above and beyond to fix it. The staff here are super nice and the food is very good.

Went for brunch. Must try short rib hash, pablano peppers, 2 poached eggs with hollandaise sauce over potato hashbrown. Also the chicken sandwich is amazing...buttermilk batter with potato waffle cakes. The drinks were delicious as well. McCarthys has the best food, top notch service and a great vibe.

The AHI TUNA holy smokes was Unbelievably fresh and the pizza which was suggested did not disappoint. The owner was awesome as well. Engaging and worked along side his team like he was an employee. I never write reviews. Yet, felt I wanted to for CF McCarthys. As a bartender/manager working at the same pub and restaurant since 2007 I know what a great team looks like! Definitely, Looking forward to going back for a girls night, date night, takeout and now knowing they have brunch! Well done guys. Also, the atmosphere and all around feel of the establishment decor etc is great!

This place came up as a random link on my Facebook feed of a phantom gourmet article. Atmosphere is incredible and the food is Devine! I had the hash bowl from the brunch menu and Penny had the grilled cheese brisket. I recommend either! Shout out to Jeannie the GM who kept checking in on us and Amaka who waited on us. Excellence appears to be the standard here!

Hometown bar atmosphere

My wife and I happened to find C.F. McCarthy's on a whim. We were in town from RI for the Boston Irish Beer Fest and we were hungry.
We arrived to an amazing staff that were pleasant and took a couple seats at the bar. Our bartender was cheerful and made us our drinks and took our order with quickness.
The food was excellent with the best quality and tremendous flavor.
We will definitely return here!

Relaxing, welcoming pub in our neighborhood. Good food, good beers on tap. Been several times for lunch, haven't been for dinner yet. Came with our five year old for lunch today and the entire experience was wonderful. Very chill.

C.F. McCarthy's, is a real restaurant and bar place. Many tables with two to many seats available, but you need to get there fast, because it's really busy. People are very nice, and the staff are great! The menu has many, many great options. The food is cooked very well, and the prices are moderate to expensive, however every good place these days seems to be quite pricey!

I ordered a short ribs grilled cheese 19 dollars. It wasn't even grilled the cheese was hard. There was no adjustment like it suppose to have. I asked the girl for honey mustard and she gave me a tiny cup not even half full. I can see if their super busy but the place was dead.. I tell everyone how fantastic this place is this is the third time I was disappointed. Not a keeper for me. Unfortunately places start off with a bang and tend to overlook the minor details that made them so great at first.

We got Buffalo Cauliflower & tuna tacos to split then an order of chicken fingers and fries for my daughter. Everything was delicious and well prepared. Hats off to the chefs!!! The Buffalo cauliflower was big pieces, cooked perfectly, didn't fall apart and super flavorful. The tuna tacos were very fresh! & you would never expect someone to brag about the kids meal option but wow. The chicken tenders were definitely made fresh in house. The breading had super good flavor and the chicken was moist and delicious. Honestly I would order this for my own meal. The fries were fresh cut, crunchy & perfectly salted. The portion was really good too. We will definitely be back.

Came here for a drink after work last week. I had the prettiest and most delicious drink I'd ever had! The "tickled pink" I believe was the name of the cocktail. It was gorgeous and had a flower ice cube in it! I will definitely be coming back.

Ok right off the bat, my wife and I live right up the street and have always said we were going to give it a try one night.

Best decision....ever, no exaggeration whatsoever. Haven't felt so comfortable somewhere like this in a long time....like home.

From the moment we walked in, clean establishment, really cool vibe, eye contact and service with a smile from every staff member we came in contact with. A huge THANK YOU to the Hostess who had no issue with giving us a table after we changed out minds from the high tops for more of an intimate setting.

Once re-seated Umaka greeted us. Our drinks were, for lack of a better word......PERFECT.

For food we decided on appetizers and a salad or "bowl" . The fish tacos were amazing. The fish was cooked perfectly. The avacado was beyond fresh. Add the sour cream and pickled onion and....wow, just wow.

After taking a bite of the Dry Rub Wings, I simply looked at my wife with a smile and said...

"Ok, now they're just showing off!"

No need to request "well done" at all. Just so damnit good.

Babe ordered the Fiesta Bowl with Chicken. Everything about this salad was so fresh and clean tasting, add this to what ill be ordering when we come back.

High five Mary, we all shared a laugh when she walked by and immediately noticed our drinks were empty and went into semi-panic mode wanting to replace them. Umaka was already on the mission to get the second round. A thousand stars for their overall attentiveness as well.

Only giving 4 stars since we didn't have food. Sat at the bar to catch up with a friend. Just moved to the area and was looking for an easy and relaxing environment. Overall very impressed with the quality of service. I was a bit shocked that they even had a drink menu, which was surprisingly well curated. All the bartenders were incredible and gave amazing recommendations. Music is very up beat, almost clubby but not loud and obnoxious and there was a great mix of old and young alike!

Wow, I love this place so much. My boyfriend and I are here twice a week, and it's not just because we live across the street. Steve and all the bartenders have taken time to get to know us, we have a blast chatting with all of them! Beer selection is unheard of in the immediate area. They don't have the longest beer list, but it is certainly one of the best. A short list with some amazing heavy hitters is much better than a 10 page book in my opinion. The food is also incredible, with some unique takes on classic dishes. I feel super lucky to have this place in my neighborhood.

If anyone remembers the way this place used to look when it was Pete's Place, you'll know how much effort went in to turning this place around. Beautiful ambiance and so much added personality! I've been in a few times since they opened and have never had a bad experience. Every single person we interact with is always so sweet, and my personal favorite (as someone in the service industry) is seeing the owner running around, helping, just like everyone else. Says a lot about the place right there. And the way they treated my kids? Amazing. As parents with 2 hungry toddlers, we appreciate the hell out of restaurants who bring the kids food first without asking, so bonus points there. Food is always piping hot when we get it! Spicy chicken sandwich is amazing but let me tell you about the SHORT RIB GRILLED CHEESE. Holy smokes. I CRAVE this sandwich. With a au-jus to dip it in then with FRESH fries or onion rings? To die for, seriously. Prices are a little higher than other pubs in the area but we're not talking frozen patties and pre-cut veggies over here. Ingredients are fresh, food comes out hot, drinks are delicious, service is amazing and the atmosphere puts this place in a rank of it's own. Definitely one of my favorite restaurants!

First time visitor, won't be the last. Outdoor seating was inventive and comfortable. We can't really pinpoint what type of restaurant/cuisine this is, as they offer items that are a little all over the place, however most everything we had was really well done. Poutine was OK (not enough gravy/cheese to really be considered poutine), but otherwise we tried a variation of apps with a couple main items and they were delicious! Drinks were great and a good size for the price. We will certainly be returning to try more.

Tried the pastrami with rings, truly outstanding. Jeannie + Amy, bartenders extremely friendly. Will definitely make return trips.

I stopped by with a friend on a random Wednesday afternoon and was happily surprised. The restaurant was mostly full so I sat at bar. The wait staff was attentive, but what I was struck by was the food. I love spicy food (I am from TX) and I thought their pork chili was flavorful and had the right level of spice (rare for the Boston area). My buddy had the poutine and be liked it too. This is a spot to come back to!

Good spot in Canton. Great service after the becoming CFM in the last few months. Great beer selection on tap and very inventive food for an Irish named pub. Definitely worth a stop into if in Canton center.

If you haven't eaten here, you need too! Burgers are amazing, wings fall off the bone, and they have awesome specials that change throughout the week. They also offer brunch on the weekends !
It was my second time in for brunch this morning and all I have to say is OMG. I got the frittata, which is egg whites with spinach tomato and feta cheese. My husband got the country chicken. Both were so delicious.
I didn't have one, but the Bloody Mary looks killer. Recipe is made in house which is even better, it's not a pre-made mix. Theres a nitro espresso martini on draft which they also make in house.
Quality of food is top notch with friendly atmosphere. Check this place out if you haven't already

We called on a Monday night at 10 pm to confirm that they still served dinner and Erin confirmed that the kitchen was open until 11 pm. Wow - it just got better as we walked in and she greeted my mom and me like family. The moments shared with Erin made our night so special. This review can not explain it. The chowda and burger were wicked awesome too. But we are coming back on Wednesday to make more memories.

This is an awesome addition to canton. The menu is made for people that like traditional but also for those that need their food kicked up a notch with modern flair.

Sorry To the former owners but you had to keep up with the latest and greatest if you want to attract people of all ages and walks of life to your establishment.

Burgers were da bomb, And I loved the fish and chips. Next up, I need to try the cauliflower with aioli, wings and maybe that bento soba noodle thing.

I personally want to thank the owner for coming to Canton. I don't know who you are, but kudos to you and all your supporters on this endeavor to wake up the sleepy town of canton.

Yes you cantonites, we are changing your town for the better. Deal with it graciously and without crotchetiness and crank.

Had never been here until today. The short rib grilled cheese deserves 5 stars as well as the smokehouse burger. Both were phenomenal. Today a large group of elderly men came in for lunch and bartenders Jeannie and Rachel went above and beyond to accommodate these men. I was so impressed with their grace and patience while tending to them.
Will absolutely be back ????
